Pine Island Academy is a new 190,000 sf K-8 school constructed for the School District of St. Johns County. The project was completed in 15 months and the constructed facility includes an Administration wing, cafeteria, music wing and gymnasium along with two 3-story classroom areas. The facility also has an ultramodern energy management system, ice storage mechanical system and complete audio visual system with touchscreen smart boards in every classroom. The project site had extensive site development and now includes covered play pavilions, grassed playing fields and basketball courts.
