STG Contracting Group, Inc. is founded on an extensive amount of commercial construction experience and knowledge. Our corporate officers’ experience started at some of the most basic levels in the construction industry and has carried through executive and ownership positions with some of the largest firms in the state of Florida. This experience allows for a true understanding of the fundamentals of the construction industry from the physical installation processes through managing construction companies and delivering hundreds of millions of dollars in successful construction projects.

With our vast history in the local construction industry, we have developed an extensive database of vendors and subcontractors in which we have built quality relationships with. We utilize these resources to provide our clients with the most economical approach to executing their deliverables while maintain quality workmanship. Principals
Michael R. Gresser
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Gresser began his career in construction 37 years ago and has extensive experience in projects such as educational facilities, retail centers, luxury condominiums, restaurants, high-rise and mid-rise office structures. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Gresser is responsible for the overall success of STG including the management and allocation of resources to ensure budget, schedule, quality control and safety standards are achieved. Throughout Mr. Gresser’s career he has served as a Carpenter, Foreman, Superintendent, Project Manager, Vice President and Executive Vice President. His diverse involvement in the various construction fields has given him a broad understanding of the construction industry.
Gene C. Staton, LEED® AP
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Staton began his career over 12 years ago in Chicago, IL working in the architectural sheet metal and HVAC industries. After four years of gaining experience within these industries, Mr. Staton returned to Northeast Florida and started his new path as a Project Manager with a large commercial general contractor. Over the next eight years, Mr. Staton would utilize this opportunity to gain the required experience needed to become a successful independent General Contractor. Throughout his career Mr. Staton has managed the construction of educational facilities, military projects, municipal projects, LEED® certified projects on various levels, and institutional facilities. He has experience with numerous fast-track projects, multi-phased projects, and interior renovations of occupied spaces.
